About Andrew
|
Andrew Ward LCH, Dip.IACH, R.S.Hom is a fully insured and professionally registered classical homeopath. He obtained his first diploma in Homeopathy from the College of Homeopathy, London - a three year full-time course that included medical sciences and pathology.
In 1989 he commenced practice under supervision and quickly developed his own busy practice over the following few years. He has been in full-time professional practice for 33 years. In 1995 he joined the NHS Primary Health Care Team of St Margaret’s Surgery, Bradford-on-Avon as the resident homeopath. This was one of the pioneering NHS homeopathy services in the UK. Patients were referred by the GPs and medical team and several audits were completed, which showed great success at treating many difficult-to-treat conditions seen in everyday general practice. The results of the service were published in a ground-breaking report entitled “Report on NHS practice-based homeopathy project” by Elizabeth Christie MB ChB MRCPsych and Andrew Ward R.S.Hom, and presented to a select committee of MPs at the House of Commons. This service continued for 14 years until financial pressures within the NHS forced it to be suspended last year. We hope it will resume at some point in the future. Since 1994 Andrew has continued his professional development by attending the seminars of Prof.George Vithoulkas in the UK and Greece. For the past 21 years he has continued to study and learn from the world’s leading exponent and teacher of Classical Homeopathy and recipient of the Right Livelihood Award 1996 (Known as the Alternative Nobel Prize) presented by the Swedish Parliament for services to Homeopathy. Andrew has also obtained the Diploma of The International Academy of Classical Homeopathy - Dip. IACH - a 400 hour, three year post-graduate course. |
